  • Lido Beach Sarasota Downwind paddle

    Lido

North Lido to South Lido. Best on a NW wind. Nice beginner 2 mile Gulf run. Quick drive for multiple runs. Usually pretty groomed and gets bigger towards the end. Pay attention to the tides as the pass gets a wicked current and it's shallow all around the South Jetty Park. Best to finish north of the pass by the little rock jetty.

  • Siesta Key to Turtle Beach Downwind Paddle

    Vince's Run

Siesta Key Acesss 5 to Turtle Beach. 5 mile Intermediate run with varying conditions. NW or SE winds. Try not to come down between the Siesta main beach and Crescent. Tricky to pop back up there. Best to stay out away from beaches as it wants to pull you into the shore. Plenty of beaches all the way down to bail out if needed.

  • Siesta Key to Crescent Beach Sarasota downwind paddle

    Siesta Rocks

Siesta Beach to Crescent (Point of Rocks) Good beginner 2 mile gulf run. NW wind, good on Seabreeze. Park at top (access 5, 7, 9 or main lot). Frog Hop back to car because parking is tight at Crescent.

  • Crescent Beach to Turtle Beach Sarasota downwind paddle

    Rock Turtle

Crescent Beach (point of rocks) to Turtle Beach. NW or SE winds. Beginner/Intermediate Gulf run. Crescent parking only works in the morning, but Frog Hop will pick you up with a tip. Turtle parking is usually doable anytime.

  • Turtle Beach to Nokomis North Jetty downwind paddle

    Peanut Butter n' Jetty

Turtle Beach to Nokomis North Jetty. Only tried on a NW wind so far but should work on a SE (reverse) too. Intermediate/Advanced 7.5 mile gulf run with varying conditions. Harder to pop up towards the end. Parking is usually fine at Turtle and Nokomis North Jetty. Look for the Jetty when coming south and avoid the swim zone by the jetty

  • New College to Bird Key Downwind Paddle

    Casey's Run

New College to Bird Key. N, NW or S, SE wind. Beginner/Intermediate 3.5 mile run with minimal driving. Airport tower is a good landmark to keep an eye on your location. Stay close to the shore near the end when coming in to New College. (If coming from the south) Watch out for boats. Bring booties or step carefully at Bird Key.

  • Casey's Short Run

Indian Beach to Bird Key N or S winds. Beginner/Intermediate 2.3 mile run with minimal driving. Great when time crunched. Watch out for boats. Bring booties or step carefully at Bird Key.
